I live in the South West of the UK with my partner & our dog in our "fixer upper" on the coast.
I love beachcombing, travelling, creating things, aromatherapy, dogs, campervans, good coffee & gardening, especially growing vegetables - oh, & cheese!
Most mornings you’ll find me walking on the beach and dreaming up the next gentle way to live and work with a little more intention, calm, and joy.
Before life by the coast, I spent over 30 years in the corporate world, as a Certified Project Manager, solving problems, and keeping more than a few plates spinning. That career took me all over the world and taught me how to plan, organise, and make things happen — lessons I still draw on every day.
When I was made redundant I followed a 30 year passion, qualified as a Clinical Aromatherapist &and opened my treatment practice, "Driftwood Coast Aromatherapy". From addressing cold sores & eczema to relieving all manor of menopausal symptoms, I had the privilege of helping my clients achieve fantastic improvements in their health and wellbeing.
During this time I also trained in Zoopharmacognosy with its founder, the wonderful Caroline Ingraham, learning how to use essential oils with dogs, and have had some wonderful results with my own dog, Roscoe.
At the end of 2019 I stepped away from my business in order to spend time helping my amazing Mum through the worsening fog of dementia & her final months & days.
Feeling lost, I returned to the safety of the corporate environment, but very quickly knew it was no longer for me. This realisation coupled with suddenly finding myself heading rapidly towards 60 I decided it was time for a lifestyle change.
It was time to reduce stress & create a life with more joy & freedom & time to spend doing the things I really love.
I began blending the clear thinking of a project manager with the gentle awareness of an aromatherapist, shaping a slower, more meaningful way to live and work.
Driftwood Coast Living grew naturally out of that mix. It’s my space to share ideas, tools, and reflections on creating a simpler, more beautiful life, one filled with ease, flow, and natural wellbeing.
I’m passionate about designing this next chapter with calm intention and joy, and sharing what I discover along the way. I hope to inspire women who are 50+ to find the confidence to navigate the many and varied changes that happen in this season of life (the wanted and the unwanted). To create a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle, to find freedom, embrace independence and possibly even start their own business.
